Insurance Help

Clear Documentation. Straightforward Communication.

Property damage can be stressful, and the insurance process can add another layer of uncertainty. Dynamic Restoration & Roofing helps homeowners organize the information related to their restoration or roofing project so the damage, recommended work, and completed services are clearly documented.

We can provide project information and communicate with your insurance carrier or adjuster about our inspection findings, estimates, and scope of work. Your insurance company determines coverage, claim value, and payment.

How We Support the Claim Process

Dynamic Restoration & Roofing may help by:

  • Inspecting and documenting visible property damage
  • Taking photographs of affected areas
  • Recording measurements and moisture conditions
  • Preparing an estimate or proposed scope of work
  • Explaining restoration or roofing recommendations
  • Providing project records and supporting documentation
  • Answering an adjuster’s questions about our findings or estimate
  • Documenting additional damage discovered after work begins

A contractor may discuss estimates and repair issues with the insurance adjuster, but the homeowner remains responsible for the claim, and coverage decisions stay with the carrier.

Prioritize Safety

Stay away from fire damage, standing water near electrical sources, unstable structures, sagging ceilings, fallen power lines, and damaged roofs.

Prevent Additional Damage

When it is safe, take reasonable temporary steps to limit further damage, such as shutting off an accessible water source or arranging emergency tarping. Do not climb onto a wet or damaged roof.

Document the Conditions

Take photographs and video from a safe location before damaged materials are removed or permanent repairs begin.

Report the Loss

Contact your insurance carrier promptly, review its instructions, and record:

  • Your claim number
  • Your adjuster’s name
  • Contact information
  • Important deadlines
  • Requested documents

Keep Records and Receipts

Save receipts for emergency work, temporary repairs, materials, lodging, and other property-related expenses. Insurers may request proof that repairs or replacements were completed.

Documentation depends on the type of damage and the services performed.

Photographs

Images of visible damage, affected materials, roof conditions, interior water intrusion, emergency measures, and work progress.

Moisture Readings

When applicable, readings and observations used to identify moisture in walls, flooring, ceilings, cabinets, or other building materials.

Estimates

An estimate describing the proposed work, materials, labor, equipment, and known project conditions.

Scope of Work

A written outline of the mitigation, restoration, roofing, repair, or reconstruction work recommended for the property.

Supplementary Documentation

When additional damage or necessary work is discovered, Dynamic may provide photographs, measurements, explanations, and updated pricing for the homeowner and carrier to review.

Supplementary documentation does not guarantee that an insurance company will approve additional payment.

What We Cannot Do

Dynamic Restoration & Roofing is your restoration and roofing contractor—not your insurance company, attorney, or public insurance adjuster.

We do not:

  • Interpret your policy or determine coverage
  • Decide what the insurance company must pay
  • Negotiate the claim as your representative
  • Provide legal advice or legal representation
  • Guarantee claim approval or payment
  • Guarantee that all recommended work will be covered
  • Waive, rebate, or absorb your deductible
  • Act as a public adjuster on work we may perform

Texas does not allow a roofing contractor to act as a public insurance adjuster—or advertise that it will adjust a claim—on property where the contractor may provide roofing services.

A homeowner who needs independent help interpreting or negotiating a claim may consider speaking with a licensed public adjuster or attorney. Those professionals are separate from Dynamic Restoration & Roofing.

Our Restoration Process

1. Protect the Property

Address immediate safety concerns and take reasonable steps to prevent additional damage.

2. Report the Claim

Contact your carrier and provide the basic details of the loss.

3. Document the Damage

Take photographs, preserve damaged items when safe, and keep receipts and written records.

4. Property Inspection

The insurance company may assign an adjuster to inspect the property. Dynamic can also inspect the damage and prepare an estimate or scope of work.

5. Carrier Review

The insurance company reviews the reported loss, policy terms, adjuster findings, and supporting documentation.

6. Estimate and Coverage Decision

The carrier determines which damage is covered and calculates payment according to the policy, deductible, limits, and settlement terms.

7. Restoration or Roofing Work

After authorization and agreement on the project scope, emergency mitigation, repairs, roofing, or reconstruction can move forward.

8. Additional Documentation

If previously hidden damage or additional necessary work is discovered, Dynamic may submit supporting documentation for carrier review.

9. Completion and Final Payment

Some replacement-cost policies issue an initial payment and release additional recoverable depreciation after qualifying repairs are completed and documented. The exact process depends on the policy.

Deductible and Payment Responsibility

Your deductible is the portion of a covered loss that you are responsible for paying under your policy.

Dynamic Restoration & Roofing does not waive, reimburse, rebate, or help homeowners avoid paying an insurance deductible. Texas law prohibits contractors from offering to waive a property-insurance deductible, and carriers may ask for proof that it was paid.

The homeowner is responsible for:

  • The insurance deductible
  • Work not covered by the policy
  • Upgrades or changes outside the approved scope
  • Amounts exceeding policy limits
  • Any unpaid balance under the project agreement

Insurance proceeds and contractor invoices may not always match exactly. Questions about coverage or carrier payment should be directed to the insurance company, agent, licensed public adjuster, or attorney, as appropriate.

Insurance Frequently Asked Questions

Should I call Dynamic or my insurance company first?

For an active emergency, protect people and the property first. Call Dynamic for emergency assistance and notify your insurance carrier us. You do not need to delay reasonable emergency measures while waiting for an adjuster, but the damage and work should be documented.

Will you file my claim?

No. The homeowner should report the claim directly to the insurance company. We can provide information about our inspection, estimate, and work.

Will you meet with the insurance adjuster?

When appropriate and scheduled in advance, a Dynamic representative may attend an inspection or discuss our findings and estimate with the adjuster. This does not mean Dynamic is representing you as a public adjuster.

Can you negotiate with my insurance company?

We may answer questions and provide documentation about the damage and proposed work. We do not interpret policy coverage or negotiate the claim on the homeowner’s behalf.

Does an insurance estimate determine Dynamic’s price?

Not necessarily. The insurance estimate reflects the carrier’s evaluation. Dynamic’s estimate is based on the work, materials, labor, equipment, site conditions, and project requirements we identify.

What is a supplement?

A supplement is additional documentation submitted when necessary work or damage was not included in the original estimate. The carrier decides whether to approve or deny the requested amount.

Does submitting a supplement guarantee more insurance money?

No. Additional photographs, measurements, estimates, or explanations support the request, but the carrier determines whether the work is covered and whether additional payment will be issued.

Will insurance pay for an old or worn-out roof?

Insurance generally covers damage caused by events included in the policy, not replacement solely because a roof is old or worn. Coverage depends on the policy and cause of damage.

What if the carrier’s estimate is lower than the contractor’s estimate?

Ask the carrier and contractor to review the differences. We can explain its scope and provide supporting documentation. Coverage disputes or policy interpretations should be handled with the carrier or an appropriately licensed adviser.

Can you guarantee insurance approval?

No. we can document conditions and provide an estimate, but only the insurance company can determine coverage and payment.
